First Shots with the Nikon

Hello again people. This post is of some of my first proper shots. For work im very lucky to be able to travel all over the show. So I charged up the Nikons battery’s and took the lil beaute with me on my travels the other week. I was also realy lucky to have my delivery run take me into wales and even better the weather was ace as the day before we had a ridiculous amount of rain in the uk and I hear some parts of wales had flooded. Not this day though.

So here is a few of my fave shots from the day. All these were shot on the Nikon that my buddy Mike has lent me. It is a Nikon D3200 with a Nikon DX 18-55mm lens, I am yet to learn about lenses lol. As I was driving through the welsh valleys, I litteraly just pulled over and jumped out the van when I saw something cool, they are all un-edited and I shot them all in Raw and in automatic mode. Again I am still to learn about the other features, I believe I actualy shot some of these in the mode that is a picture of a mountain 😂 whatever that is, but I guessed it would work best for these shots, as they were all, well… hills and mountains 😂

This is the first shot I grabbed, I saw the sunrise and had and thought that will look cool of the sunrise through the trees…

This next shot is again pretty cool, im hoping to do a project photographing some of the beautifull churches we have in the UK and this one will definitely be in there. Such a cool little church with the hill behind it.

These next two shots are again of hills or mountains, I was so lucky that there is always plenty space to pull over safley, hop out the van, shoot and then hop back in and contiunue on my way. Proper chuffed with the camera being able to pick up the fog like it has and how the details in the distance are still nice and crisp.

Finally, this last photo I shot almost doesn’t look real to me. It reminds me of one of the old windows wallpapers 😂 but I love it and cant believe I took this photo.

Another thing I did while shooting these photos, was try to get a picture of me taking the picture 😂 as I know people wont believe I shot some of these photos, especially after they have been cleaned up and edited and with the rise of AI 😒. Thats what the next pictures are…

So there we have it, my first proper shots on the Nikon beaute, I am really looking forward to learning how to edit these photos next, I recon these will really pop with just a little editing. I just need to figure out what software I want to use for the job. I am going to try and stay clear of adobe though as I don’t fancy being locked into that monthly subscription as Im clearly not professional (yet)😂 I will be back soon with more of this Newbs progress.
